MARÍA CABALLERO



María Caballero is a Spanish actress of stage and screen, known for her compelling performances across theatre, film and television. Born in Valencia, she trained at the ESAD Valencia before continuing her studies in England, building a versatile career that has established her as one of the most exciting emerging talents in Spain.
Her breakthrough came with the feature film AMAR (2017, dir. Esteban Crespo), followed by notable titles like TIEMPO DESPUÉS (2018, dir. José Luis Cuerda). She gained wider recognition through her television work, appearing in acclaimed series such as THE GIRL IN THE MIRROR (2022, Netflix), where she played Diana, and THE LONGEST NIGHT (2022, Netflix).
In 2023, María took on her first leading film role in the mystery thriller OLVIDO (dir. Inés París), portraying journalist Olvido Granell against the backdrop of the devastating 1957 Valencia flood. For her role, María was awarded Best Film Leading Actress at the Berlanga Awards and A Future of Cinema Award from the prestigious festival Cinema jove of Valencia. She continued her international rise with a standout role as Luz, alongside Bill Nighy, in the horror film THE FIRST OMEN (2024, dir. Arkasha Stevenson), introducing her work to audiences worldwide.
Most recently, María appeared in the Netflix period drama series THE LADY’S COMPANION (2025), she has also completed work on several upcoming feature films, including the indie film THE MANTISES (Dídac Gimeno) and the italian genre movie THE DISCIPLE (Luigi Cecinelli), with further announcements expected soon.
