EMILY COX

Emily Cox is an Austrian actor best known for her lead role as Brida in ‘The Last Kingdom’ (BBC). Other TV credits include ‘Murder Mindfully’ (Netflix), ‘Constellation’ (Apple+) alongside Noomi Repace, the hit German comedy series ‘Jerks’ and ‘Homeland’ (Showtime). Cox also appeared in a number of feature films such as ‘The Fatherless’ (dir. Marie Kreutzer), ‘Head Full of Honey‘ (dir. Til Schweiger) and ‘The Physician II’ opposite Liam Cunningham.

Aside from her work on screen, Emily is accomplished stage actor having started her career as a performer at the Theater in der Josefstadt in Vienna. She has also performed alongside John Malkovich and Cecilia Bartoli in a unique opera called ‘His Master’s Voice’, that toured such prestigious venues as the Wiener Staatsoper and the Opéra de Monte-Carlo.

She is currently based in Vienna, has British/Irish heritage and speaks fluent Austrian, German and English.
